Welcome to the Cardiomyocyte Dynamics Laboratory (CDL) at San Diego State University (SDSU). The CDL is an academic research lab located in the Department of Biology at SDSU, and is affiliated with the Computational Science Research Center (CSRC: see http://www.csrc.sdsu.edu). The CDL's research is focused on the investigation and analysis of cardiac muscle cell contractility and relaxation. The lab takes an interdisciplinary approach toward its research by collaborating with researchers and graduate students from different academic disciplines and training backgrounds. As a result, many of our lab projects are at the intersection of various disciplines, including Computational Science, Cell & Molecular Biology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Biophysics, and Engineering.
